District walking weekend £12 per night YHA Coniston is in one of the most scenic
areas of the Lake District with accommodation and guided walks for £12 per
night. Situated close to the lakes & mountains
we can follow the heritage trails up the old mining tracks onto the jagged
glaciated landscape that looks quite Alpine in winter, for 360 degree views
of Lancashire, Yorkshire, Scotland, coastline, lakes and tarns. This weekend is aimed at experienced winter
mountain walkers. Beginners are warmly welcomed, we really want you to come
and gain experience because it is how we all learnt, but please try a few
Yorkshire Dale hard walks in snow first to test your ability and equipment
otherwise it may spoil your enjoyment and that of the group. Expect hardish
walks over 9 miles up steep Wainwright mountain routes in extreme cold with
